To learn to play guitar... 

You have to practice!

Yes, you have to practice. You don't think it's a secret, do you?.

You see, most people think they know this fact; but they really don't know it.

The do not practice enough! And some don't even practice at all!

And, many people, too, think and believe they practice, and what they do can't be called "practice".

They fool themselves just playing around some easy tune they like. And playing it just a bit.

Let's wake up! That's not practice!

We'll talk some more about this in a few days.

Meanwile, don't kid yourself. When paracticing, play what you must practice!

Guitar Playing Tips 

To help you enjoy your guitar playing.

Guitar Playing Tip #1

You should always do your practice or playing in the most comfortable body and instrument positions.

That will let you focus all your energy to get the most out of your guitar (and your soul).

Guitar Playing Tip #2

Always make your practice with a correctly tuned guitar.

Before practicing, check the guitar tuning balance between low and high fret positions.

Play, very slowly and carefully, scales at the lower fret positions and at the higher fret positions.

Make corrections to string tunings, if necesary.

Guitar Playing Tip #3

When you set to practice, get the "practice mood" first.

Some days you'll be more pleased to practice than another days.

But the quality, quantity and duration of your practices can never depend on how pleased you are to practice.

You must develope the habit of "hard working" practice.

Guitar Playing Tip #4

When you begin the study of a new piece or exercise, start it very slowly, trying to figure out:

- the best sound required by the piece or exercise;

- the best technique you need to apply;

- the spirit or mood of that piece or exercise.

This way, you will end with a great performance.
